Ms. S. Kavi Priya, Assistant Professor of English attended the “Two Day National Seminar on Human Rights Education” at Alagappa University, Karaikudi.


Ms. C. Rosy and S. Udayanila, Assistant Professors of English attended a national level Conference on “Literature and Technology” at Dr. Zakir Hussain College, Ilayankudi.


Ms. B. Seeni Rahfu Nisha and Ms. U. K. Deepika Assistant Professors of English   presented  their papers on the topics, “Feminism and Women Psychology” and “Rhetorical Destruction of Women in Virginia Woolf’s Profession for Women”  in the UGC sponsored National level Seminar on ‘Women in Literature’ organized by the Department of English, Sethupathy Government Arts College, Ramanathapuram.


Ms. A. Jeya Chitra, Assistant Professor of English presented her paper in the National Level Seminar on the topic “Emerging Facts in English Literature” at Nadar Mahajana Sangam S.Vellaichamy Nadar College, Madurai.


16 faculty members from the department of English attended a one day workshop on “Thesis and Assignment Writing”.


Ms. B. Zulaiha Shakeel, HOD of English Ms. B. Seeni Rahfu Nisha,           Ms. P. Jeya Chitra, Ms. S. Kavi Priya, Ms. R. Nandhini, Assistant Professors of English attended “A One Day Workshop on Infographic Preparation”.

Kavi Priya, Assistant Professor of English completed the online programme, “Foundations of Psychology” with 65% score offered by RMIT University.

Dr. B. Zulaiha Shakeel, Head, Department of English presented a paper on the topic, “Breaking the Ice in Speaking SYTO” and chaired two paper presentation sessions in 42nd Annual and International Conference organized by ELTAI at St. Theresa’s College, Ernakulam.

Dr B Zulaiha Shakeel, Head, Department of English published an article, “Veil as Eye: A Deconstructive Reading of Imtiaz Dharker’s “Purdah I” in the Journal of Teaching and Research in English Literature, Volume 8 Number 3 /Pages -1-8 (online) (ISSN No 0975-8828) with an impact factor of 4.315.


Ms G M Radhika, Assistant Professor of English acted as the resource person and spoke on the topic, “Interview Skills” in an Orientation programme for I PG students organized by Student Development Committee, TBAKC.


Ms. S. Angel, Assistant Professor of English attended a one day National Seminar on the topic, “DIALOGS: 2017, Discussions, Interactions and Literature on Gender Studies” organized by A. P.C. Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi.


Dr. B. Zulaiha Shakeel attended an International workshop on “Enhancing Professional Communication Skills” organized by Business English Special Interest of ELTAI, Tata Consultancy Services, Bangalore.


Ms. B. Seeni Rahfu Nisha and Ms. C. Rosy Assistant Professors of English acted as judges in The Frank Anthony Memorial All India Inter-School Debate Championship [Category II- (IX and X Standards) Regional level/ Preliminary Stage].


Ms C Rosy, Assistant Professor of English attended a National Workshop “GLOW 2018: The Glamour of Writing” organized by A P C Mahalaxmi College for Women, Thoothukudi in collaboration with ELT@I Thoothukudi Chapter.
